Company Profile

QID was formed in late 2005 when a group of MIT business leaders and researchers teamed up. Dr Rory O'Connor, an ex-MIT Professor developed an innovation that could provide the much sought after advanced RFID features - security, updatable memory and longer read/write distances, and all this using technology that does not require batteries. Dr.Rory has built and successfully demonstrated these features via a prototype made from off-the-shelf components.
QID was selected as a finalist in the prestigious MIT 100K business plan competition. The company has since then raised seed capital through series A financing
