SOFTWARE COMPONENTS:
Commissioning system - A handheld computer to commission a GPS and GPRS enabled tracking device installed on a container at the beginning of the journey. An operator can verify device operation and successful commissioning before starting to load container with goods.
Control Module - Allows operators at various points throughout the transport route to process arrival / departure information. This module can be completely automated using a fixed reader infrastructure.
Communication Module - A global GSM/GPRS network sends location data from the device to the server real time or at predetermined intervals.
Command Module - Allows operators in a central location send queries to the devices mounted on containers.
Reporting Module - Provides historical and real time reporting on all devices deployed globally using a central system. Information about routes, stoppages, speed, violations of a route can be obtained. Any movement out of the pre specified geo fence is sent out as an alert using SMS/Emails.
